Im trying to catch up with Sanctuary, but the new episodes are available on internet a week after airing, so only got to see 'Hero' (2x04) last night.

I really wanted to see the last one, because it looks really cool on previews, but this one alone is already recovering my interest in the series.

AND also had the chance to see a few more episodes of SG1 season 9 yesterday in Syfy. I've been trying to watch as much episodes I can of the season on tv (even tho hate having gaps, but is that or nothing! lol), and couldn't see them all during the morning, of course, but the last one was Camelot, so now I'm agonizing to see Season 10!!!

Maybe too picky, but its not all ranting. I liked it the start a lot, just need to adapt t the changes ... like with all other retakes so far :P

First off, I have no problems with adaptations of old ideas, for the contrary, I welcome them with open arms, and mind, and I do my best to avoid comparing, but, I still hope for the basic, most important, concepts of said idea to be there at some level...

I don't ask too much, do I??

That said, I did like the premiere, and I do see a lot of the original concepts present, just adapted and modernized in a marvelous way.

The original Miniseries (from 1983) was probably one of the first scifi series I ever saw. I was watching that even before Star Trek, I think, and now, after the whole marathon in scifi yesterday I remembered exactly why I liked so much. 20 years later, I still couldn't leave the tv screen the whole freaking day! :P Probably the following series (from 1984) wasn't as good, as the original miniseries or The final battle, tho, but still I enjoyed re-watching that today as well.

Has anyone seen "Spaced"?



It's a british tv comedy from around 2000, with Simon Pegg and directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the dead), of barely 14 chapters in 2 short seasons, and though we don't usually watch comedy, we have been enjoying this one a lot.

Aside from that, I've been struggling with internet for a while, but hope it'll last this time, lol (long story) and finally saw Harry Potter on a movie theater! (better late than ever), but I'll post about later. (too much to say! <3 <3 <3)

Its time for random ramblings again...

I finally managed to catch up with SG1 up to the beginning of season 9. Saw Avalon and Origins, but got stuck after that, because unfortunately finding the episodes is very hard. I'll better try to hunt down for a dvd offer or a pre-owned pack or something. But anyways ... Vala makes the day every time she speaks, doesn't she?? XD

We started watching 'Defying Gravity' last night, and love it so far, but I've only seen the first 3 episodes so can't tell much yet. I can say, tho, that we got so hooked at first watch, we saw those three parts in a row, non stop! And my hubby was as enthralled as I was, which is a good sign :P We can't wait to see the what's next now! .. and I was rather excited to see Laura Harris, who plays Daisy in 'Dead Like Me' on the cast. I just LOVED that series sooo badly!! ^_^

Also saw a very good low budget mexican movie called "Sleep Dealers". If you ever get to see a version translated to english, I'd totally recommend it. Of course it is not your action-loaded blockbuster, for the contrary, its very slow paced and has very lit' visual effects, but the story itself is so good, original and captivating, I was honestly impressed ... Never expected it at first, really, we just started watching it out of curiously, but couldn't let go.

There's a 'Outer Limits' morning marathon at syfy atm. I love short scifi stories and every time the serie traps me. The stories themselves are so good, I don't care if they the epis are low quality at all. lol We got to see another similar series some time ago, called "Masters of Science Fiction" It was incredibly good, but got canceled in about 5/6 episodes... a real pity, imo.

Ramble1: STARGATE! (and the reason of this post's title, lol)
I've mentioned, (i think, somewhere) that I used to love SG1 for the first few seasons, but at some point around 5/6 I started loosing interest, and tbh, the only thing that kept my interest at that time was Quinn, I honestly enjoyed how he kept Daniel place warn for a while XD (.... should I hide under desk now!?? LOL).

Long story short, by the time Claudia Black and Ben Browder joined the crew I was soooo lost and behind with the storyline I couldn't get into it again, even though I was absolutely in LOVE with Vala just by watching 30min of her first episode (I mean, how can I NOT be!!!!??? <3), but I just really, really hate having 'gaps' with tv series, specially the good ones, so it was left aside until I could catch up...

Anyways....

I've been having problems with my internet lately, so with nothing better to do, I prepared a few posts with different stuff and I'll be posting them over time, starting with a huge couples spam, because what can be better?? ;) (lots of big pictures inside!)

After warning that I'M NOT a big comics fan ... but all the movies so far hallucinate me (maybe 3 not soo much as the others, tho...)

I'll start saying I was expecting a LOT from this movie.
Every piece of trailer, bit of spoiler, name on cast, all we got from it in previews looked promising, imo, and not only it didn't dissapoint, but the movie gave me back a lot more than I could imagine, because even if did find a few details that bothered me, the overall awesomeness totally compensated.

Two words: SIMPLY AMAZING!!! <3

And my hubby , another Trekkie at heart , totally agrees too ;)
